The Treaty of Lausanne was signed on 24 July 1923 at the Palais de Rumine in Lausanne, Switzerland, by representatives of Turkey, Great Britain, France, Italy, Japan, Greece, Romania, and Yugoslavia.

With the signing and implementation of the Treaty of Lausanne, the Treaty of Sevres, which stipulated the right to self-determination of the Kurds, who had been living in the region for thousands of years, became null and void…
